Your child can bring their 4-legged best friend to camp! If you don't have a dog but your child loves dogs, you can borrow one.
Campers learn how to teach their dog basic tricks, skills, commands, games and activities.
Campers will have snack and craft time on scheduled days.
Camp is held at Dog Training With Monica training facility in Seymour, Indiana.
Address: 357 Tanger Blvd, Suite 204, Seymour, IN 47274
Camp will primarily be held inside, however we may go outside for special activities.
Monica Rivera, a 16 year certified dog trainer and AKC Evaluator will be in charge of the camp curriculum. We will have trained adults to help with children and dogs.
Refunds are ONLY available until June 1st, 11:59pm. There will be NO refunds for missed camp days.
Yes. We suggest borrowing a well-behaved dog from us. We have plenty of dogs that love going to camp. If your child would like to borrow a dog, please indicate that on your registration form
Only you can be confident in your dog's behavior around other dogs and people. If your dog is uncomfortable around new dogs or people, they won't be happy at camp. If you are worried that your child may be unable to handle your dog, we ask that you borrow a dog for camp. We have plenty of dogs available that enjoy going to camp.
A truly unique 5 day camp for children (ages 6-12) and their dogs. Each day is 4 hours long.
Your child will receive a snack, t-shirt, training pouch, training certificate and minimum 2 crafts will be completed.
If your child has a food allergy, please indicate this in the registration form.
Campers will need to provide treats for their dog, so you want to be sure it is something your dog will work for in a distracting environment (examples: hot dog pieces, pepperoni, cheese, boiled chicken, cheese, etc
No. We ask that parents drop children off and return at the end of the camp day to pick them up. We do NOT allow parents to stay, as this is often a distraction to the children and the dogs. We want the children to enjoy camp and be themselves. If you think your child may be unwilling to be left, we ask that you skip camp this year, and re-evaluate for next year. Refer to the refund conditions. If you sign your child up and they do not attend, you will not receive a refund, so please be sure your child will be ok being left at camp.
If your child is bringing a dog to class, be sure to bring the dog!
-Your dog will need a collar or harness and 4ft standard leash (NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES).
-A few hundred pea-sized high-value treats. (Do NOT feed your dog breakfast before camp days).
