Meet Monica!

Born and raised in Northwest Indiana.

Moved to Seymour, IN in 2010.

I have always had a special connection and ability to understand dogs.

I graduated from Animal Behavior College in 2008 as a Certified Dog Trainer, which began my Professional Dog Training Career.

At a young age, I realized how important having a trained dog can be. Having a dog without manners is stressful and embarrassing for a family. Far too often, it decides whether or not a dog ends up being rehomed or at a shelter/rescue.

I believe training can help a dog stay in their home and be more enjoyable as a family member. Training is an investment we make in our dogs, just like buying dog food, toys, a bed, and seeking vet care. Learning how to maintain your dog’s behaviors makes life with your dog more fun and relaxing. Sometimes you just need to see things from their point of view. Having a good understanding of their learning styles, body language and behaviors makes training a family dog easier!

Dogs are important members of our family, and having a well-trained dog, makes not only the family happy, but the dog as well. We love our dogs like family, however unwanted behaviors can be embarrassing and not knowing how to change those behaviors becomes frustrating. With some training techniques, professional guidance, patience and love, those behaviors can be changed!

My training programs are custom designed for your family's needs and training goals.

I teach owners how to be effective dog handlers without being physically harmful. I take things into consideration, such as life at home, breed, family's relationship with the dog, other household pets, family work schedule, and more.

"My German Shepherd puppy loved Monica and learned his basic commands quickly under her guidance. I would highly recommend Monica to everyone. She has so many great ideas and strategies to help make training fun and positive." - T.B. (Otto's Owner)

Monica is very professional and does amazing work with animals.  We have worked both one-on-one and in a group setting with our pup and each time he received individual attention to help him succeed.  I highly recommend Monica! -Donna Fitzgerald
